The French are just more explicit that the Brit/Americans when it comes to detail, "test". Do you think British TV will really tell you much about what Savile actually said and did to those teens?

Same with the Tallies, as you'll know if you're watching Romanzo Criminale at the mo.

The reporter character was the director, and also co-wrote Polisse. Proving that she's far better behind the camera than in front of it.

No pics? So you haven't seen it, as I expected, you're just an intellectual parvenu.

Never heard of "Romanzo Criminale", mate, any good?

I saw Polisse at the GFT during a rather splendid run of movies there before summer. The others were Moonrise Kingdom and Ken Loach's Angels' Share.

All ran over the same 8 or 9 day period.

Romanzo Criminale is a very good crime drama based on a true story written by a former magistrate and set in Rome in the late 1970s and 1980s. The second series is approaching a climax on Sky Arts next week, you should watch out for the repeats.

Sky Arts is also on Virgin, but not Freeview.

It used to be the Arts Channel and nearly went bust. Despite the Murdoch connection I have to say it is excellent stuff.

What are M*rgar*T Th*tch*r's warmest and most humane qualities?...

Which of the Thompson Twins is the ugliest ? affraid ...

What's your (singular) favourite 'Dan' track?...

Uploaded that album to Google Play last week, James. Lovely melancholic stuff, don't tell immo though, he hates GENE.
Top choice with Suede, too.

Ok, gem number 2 from the Play uploads. If you don't like this, may your god help you because Jan Ullrich and I can't:

Didn't know it was a Bob Marley tune.

There was a nice wee piece in the Guardian last week about the unfair levels of opprobrium and general lack of appreciation hurled in the direction of the West Midlands/Black Country accent.

Quite right too. Twisted Evil

The scribbler listed 5 reasons why posession of same was a positive social attribute.

Reason 5 was: "Because if you ever happen to meet and speak to Noddy Holder, you will automatically become his best mate. And you simply cannot put a price on that. " Very Happy
