Re: Great Lost Tracks - An Everyday Series
Might as well drop off a few choons while I'm in.
I think English Riviera is a splendid album
(Still listening to it 'properly')
I know this is a pop song of the first water.
(It grooves in an agreeably awkward and spindly way )

God bless 6Music!
The easter break has allowed me to listen in on Radders & Maconie's new daytime show.
As good as it ever was imo.
Great feature last week on the use of the 'Clearmountain' pause in songs and this (forgotten) gem came up.

Re: Great Lost Tracks - An Everyday Series
See, I missed this a few weeks back: KVjr was subject of my English dissertation at school. I wrote excellently about his invented religions, and got a terrible mark. Must have been an idol worshipper who marked my words.
Later, my daughter also based her literary study on Kurt Vonnegut.
But she fared much better. Must have had a humanist mark her work.
"All this happened, more or less."

That's it - we can close down 'indie' now.
It's peaked.
Thanx CB.
Currently the most rep-puh-pee-puh-peated track on my i-pod 'Arkwright' playlist.

Re: Great Lost Tracks - An Everyday Series
(In a PG/Cleveland/Quagmire/Joe stylee)
If it was a straight choice between Marianne Faithfull now(today on R6)...
(God she's pluggin that album in't she? Sick of the sight of her. )
...and Alex Chilton then(in this vid)....
I reckon ole A would get it
PS
My haircut currently looks a bit like AC's does in this.
PPS
Just so ye know

Re: Great Lost Tracks - An Everyday Series
I may have posted this before...
... but I'm doing so this time as an attempt at reciprocating 'The Gent's generous ( and hugely preeshiated ) proferring of the Rhythm-Rockers' track... and several others.
I reckon this'll be right up your cuppa meat this James.
