‎...and right at the point where yer thinkin,

'Oh aye... pure escapist/Fall of the Roman Empire/Last Days of the Weimar Republic decadence... like an over-ripe peach it is Evil or Very Mad '

The middle-8 kicks in...

'But this is England on a winter's afternoon, there is no sun there's just a pale and tired moon. The shivering sparrows on the smoking chimney-tops; and all the children suffer from cold and flu and ray-ee-ain-drops'

Like JB Priestley... but further north... and with killer choon-writing skills. Smile

The official release of this sounded a bit over-produced to me, but a good song will stand up no matter what you do to it. Champion

Love the home-made nature of the clip and the obvious enjoyment of the band. cheers

Ok, first gem from the Google Upload:

I heard this song on the film "Polisse" http://www.imdb.com/title/tt1661420/ a film in which I quite fancied Karin Viard, up until she threw herself out of a window at the end of the film. Know none of you will watch this film so I haven't spoilt it for you.

Watched that film at the GFT earlier this year. Powerful stuff.

They billed it as the French Wired. Wasn't the writer the bird who arrived to observe the unit and ended up shagging one of them?

Pictures or it didn't happen, baldy, I'm not as gullible as the retard, though do seem to have picked up some of his sayings.

Didn't know the reporter character was also the writer, she is a terrible actress. The opposite to Fassbinder who's a good actor but terrible writer.

The film certainly covers some "rare" ground. The mother being interviewed about her two young sons for instance. When asked why she thought it was one son slept at night and the other didn't, she replied it was perhaps because she wanked the sleeping one off at bedtime, but not the troubled sleeper.

And the grandfather or father who called his five year old daughter/granddaughter a slut.
