Ahhh see I hate when this happens… No

Some dopey fukker asks the most voluble drunkard currently loose on the net to voice off on matters musicaux.

It can only end in tears. Laughing Laughing

I’ve heard a coupla his things before and quite liked him

First one’s better’n this second one I reckon

A bit rootsy and worthily artisan for my current (and lets face it – default) listening choice (tacky/urban/loud/snotty) Laughing Laughing

Just a wee joke man Rolling Eyes

Nub and gist of the joke was your affording a platform, on which to spout pyshe about music, to the most tediously verbose music-obsessive (outside of Glad like Rolling Eyes Smile ) on the board.

Will I whoosh or shall you be mother? Laughing

Anyhow...

Fukkin ridiculously exciting this next...

As soon as Toots teaches me how to liberate indiviudal vidja tracks off my "Stax Volt Revue - Live in Norway" DVD, you mighty music clubbers will be looking upon my works and despairing Twisted Evil

(Although not as much as I will to be fair Sad Very Happy )

PS

I just meant the "music obsessive" bit Gee

I still own the franchise on tedious verbosity

I hear the Turgid prose mo chain is up for grabs tho Very Happy

I thought I was your bitch scratch

Break up day for the 2 week Easter hols today cheers

You'd expect some balls-out rocker or dancer for the first track of the 2 week holiday weekend

Rock Out

Howevahhhh

One of those wee mad "things" that happen in the course of the daily G...

Guy at work today had a bereavement. Sad

I know this guy - not "text him for beers after work" know him; but definitely talk pish about pretty much anything under the sun for the few brief minutes we meet up occasionally during smoke breaks.

He's a big, bluff, funny diamond of a guy who just has a natural knack of being utterly open and natural. A big breenger of a bloke who always is ready to laugh off the horrors and inequities of life with one of those "whit the fukk ye gony do - eh" shrugs.

I like him a lot - he's good company and a good guy.

Somebody you'd go for a pint with definitely

(not an acolade to be bandied lightly Laughing)

Why do horrible things happen to good people if "God PLC" exists? Evil or Very Mad Sad

Unfortunately for you poor saps... when i reach one these existential crisis points I always retire to the Jazz wing of the collection in search of philosophical balm Smile

Here Immo, you watching BBC4 just now. Rather excellent programme on 'Cool' featuring Miles among others (Brubeck, Gillespie, Mingus etc.)

Fukkin terrific isn't it Very Happy cheers

Currently recording this week's batch

Beeb 2 showed a lot of the footage when they exhumed the tapes of Jazz 625 back in the 80s (90s?) but it's really outstanding stuff.

The Ellington stuff is still ridiculously exciting to watch

Immo, I didn't remember Denny Laine had recorded that prior to Colin Blunstone! pale

Great song, although I'm not too keen on 'Denny'. Nor am I a big Beatles fan, but but but ......

This might be my fav. McCartney linked song, but is it a Lennon number? I've learnt to play it on the ukulele I bought off ebay after the Scotland Norway game in October.
