My therapist said not to see you no more
She said you`re like a disease without any cure
She said I`m so obsessed that I`m becoming a bore, oh no
Ah, you think you`re so pretty
Very Happy

Great Lost Tracks - An Everyday Series - Page 6 Empty Re: Great Lost Tracks - An Everyday Series

Post by Immo Sun Mar 22, 2009 1:10 pm

I had a weird experience this week

The question said...

"Identify one representation in the text (Bowling for Columbine) and explain how that representation was shown in the text"

The (beautifully eager and anxious to do well) stude confused the "how" (methods/techniques used to achieve an end) with the vernacular "how" (reasons for a partikkler course of action).

To wit and Viz...

Stude A - "Ah think ah'm gony chuck college"

Stude B - "How?"

Stude A - "Cos ma EMA's run oot and ah canny be bothert wi it"

WRONG USAGE!!! No

Stude A - "Ah think ah'm gony chuck college"

Stude B - "How?"

Stude A - " By sending a heartfelt and genuine letter to the Senior Lecturer expressing my sincere regret that I cannot continue on that course of study as I haven't a fukkin clue why I'm supposed to be there"

CORRECT USAGE!!!! cheers

Wadda predicament! Rolling Eyes

Just for reference...

This is why...

This is how....

"Murray wasn't in at the start 20 years ago when Graeme Souness kick-started the Rangers revolution that reshaped the face of Scottish football..."...

"In a momentous week for the Ibrox club, which included the brave end of their Champions League adventure, the Rangers fans have now witnessed the first shafts of light in the "moonbeam of success" that Murray said was lying in wait for the club."

"It is believed Le Guen will be handed upwards of £15m this summer to spend on new players, and that eight new faces have been earmarked."

"I'm enthused by the arrival of Paul le Guen at Ibrox. His CV doesn't guarantee success in an environment rivalled only by the dark side of the moon.

But I've a feeling he may turn out to be the most significant signing Rangers have ever made and the most influential figure here since Jock Stein and Alex Ferguson.

He could well provide the club with a modern, international dimension to replace the old siege mentality. It's up to the supporters to grab it and join the 21st century."

Went out for lunch yesterday and one of the guests was a tattie hoiking, bead rattling gobshite. Had the cheek to 1, speak to me while not on her knees, and 2 to ask if I'd do some computer work for her. Said I was too expensive and left.

Been meaning to say, really liked the Sunday smoothie compilation, some top tunes on there, thank you very much.

The Chet and something tune is fucked though, been ripped too fast, pops and jumps all over the place. Didn't like that track anyway. Very Happy

Not that I'm one to stir things up, but it would seem like extremely shoddy admin to some observers.....I imagine Mad
