Re: Great Lost Tracks - An Everyday Series
I love the production on this band's first couple of albums. Met Shirley Manson at a funeral a couple of years back.....cool chick

Re: Great Lost Tracks - An Everyday Series
Here's another chick singer who's busy re-inventing herself.
Both a lot better than Duffy and all that shite. Though I must admit Immo I think Adele is a real belter for the noughties. She needs to manage her material carefully imo.

Re: Great Lost Tracks - An Everyday Series
Terrible, Immo. 41,000 they're saying and it sure wasn't any more than that. Listening to Mowbray later was risible.
Scott Macdonald is a soft lazy fat shite of a man. Fukkin Aussie low-life hump.
McGeady and Hinkel played well, N'Guemo and Crosas acceptable. The rest could leave tomorrow and nobody would care. Especially the new Lee Naylor, Danny "Dead Ball" Fox.
'part from that I had a good chat about the migration to HD in video production with a mate of mine....it was that kind of day.

Yep
It almost makes it a chore to squeeze those last few drops of schadenfreude-juice out of the damp towel of the Huns' shiteyness.

Re: Great Lost Tracks - An Everyday Series
I was at Livingston v Albion Rovers last Tuesday and it was almost as exciting as today.
Really can't remember our last good performance at CP - probably the draw with Man U or the two Hun games that clinched the league in 2008.
The fact that Mcdonald and others are even in the team says a lot.

Re: Great Lost Tracks - An Everyday Series
I've gone scrabblin around in the bottom shelf of 7" singles for inspiration.
Bottom shelf in this case doesn't necessarily mean 'least played' - my lack of application in the matter of filing and cataloguing is legendary round these parts.
Found this wee nugget nestling there tho.

Oooooft!!!
B-sides even!!!
(A-side 'Rubbish' )
(Catalogue Number(s) - USM3 (Carter - vanity), 3238227 (EMI - cunts ) )
As the temperature drops...
On the drunks out in Clapham
I turn on the box - it's like punk never happened
The community's charged up and the West End's alight
And it's Jimmy bloody Tarbuck on a Saturday night
I'm sick to the back teeth, the front teeth and tonsils
Of the hit-making factories and kids sniffing Ronseal
The run-down, the hard-up and the National Health
And Jimmy bloody Tarbuck on a Sunday as well

You have the makings of a very promising run there, Immo.
Unfortunately I have a very early flight tomorrow. Luego, amigo!

Re: Great Lost Tracks - An Everyday Series
It'll be all downhill from here man...
...we're approaching a section which i know has been infiltrated by some of Toots' (27-strong ) collection of singles.
Fortunately, YouTube is very sparsely populated with clips featuring The Joe Gordon Folk Four and Andy Stewart
A bientot mon petit fromage grise

Re: Great Lost Tracks - An Everyday Series
In 1985, NME attached free EPs to the covers of 4 issues.
This is 'GIV2', track 3
Track 1 was Style Council - Ever Changing Moods
Track 2 was Lloyd Cole - Forest Fire
Track 4 was Prefab Sprout - Real Life (Just Around the Corner)
The part of Karl Malden's nose was played by an enormous prosthetic strawberry fashioned out of wax and painted red.
This has been a Quinn Martin production

Great pic sleeve with Jem Finer reprising the famous Sammy Davis Jnr B&W photo where he's cradling a vodka with his forehead pressed against the window of his penthouse/skyscraper suite.
Mr F. opts for a pint of the black stuff naturally
