Re: Great Lost Tracks - An Everyday Series
There used to be a Dutch radio station called Arrow that us Ipswichers could pick up on Medium Wave during the day. It played 'Progressive Rock' Beatles Stones Deep Purple Bonio you know the type of thing. But it used to slip in Dutch, German stuff.
And they used to play this. But I didn't know what it was then.

I've never blown a gaskeyt in my life!!
Blew a seal once.
It's a lot like eating slightly melted ice cream

Immo: you ever browse Wolfgang's Vault? they're adding material from way back every week.
Very clean recording of a Randy Newman gig from the mid 1970s here:

Fukkin lovely stuff. Browse / stream or buy too.

Re: Great Lost Tracks - An Everyday Series
Should this be in the 'new music' thread?
Very derivative (and not a little cheesy)
Can't resist it tho
By Demis Roussos out of The Fratellis

Enuff wi the new stuff
All the 'S' es
Sunday, soulful, smooth, sweet... Sly
Triffic LP an'all
Not as harrowing as 'Riot' but perfect for those laid-back summer garden parties I know you're all gony be dying to throw next summer.

Re: Great Lost Tracks - An Everyday Series
Watched the Big Pink on Jools a coupla weeks ago, Immo. Started well but it got tedious very quickly.
I could have watched the drummer all night though. In a manga, jap-doll "you want to get dirty, round eyes? " kinda way.

Re: Great Lost Tracks - An Everyday Series
I actually drafted up a hymn of praise to the drummer for inclusion on the original post
Hadta self-censor tho as said draft breached all currently-observed social protocols in the matter of unseemly, slabbering lasciviousness on a messageboard.

Ascending chorus mate, loved like ging-herrs.
Will nip on the desktop and see if I can find it for the clubbers.
Sounds like Alex from The Arctic Monkeys don't you think?

Re: Great Lost Tracks - An Everyday Series
Definitely.
Did you clock the Demis Roussos melody lift?
Post up "Forever and Ever" and call me a liar
EDIT
Do try and keep your messages to your 'marching powder' clients and your posts on this board separate.
I'm a mod on here you know

Twenty-three-and-a-half hours late....
Still...
What kinda pencil-necked pedant's gony point that out when there's this kinda muffled/plangent, sparkling/sepulchral beauty in the offing?
(As you were, Farquhar. )

Re: Great Lost Tracks - An Everyday Series
First time I saw this fillum I thought
'So that's how 'swingin London' rolls.
How much is the BR Supersaver ticket? '
Whatever happened to that pioneering, 14-year-old spirit...
Oh - hold on. I've found it!
It was tucked in behind that bottle of Martini
Slange!

Re: Great Lost Tracks - An Everyday Series
Far too late to be up on a school night.
Let's maintain the proud, late-night Sunday tradition of posting a bitta post-modern, existential, love-lorn angst from Scotty-bhoy and we'll call it quits eh?
Can't say fairer'n that
