Re: Great Lost Tracks - An Everyday Series
Between 'Higher Ground' and 'All In Love is Fair'
(Gotta be a better word than 'squelchy' to describe that bassline )
A true pigeon-blood ruby
Resistance is futile
Don't kid yerself - it's impossible to shake
(You may want to however )

Aaaaand back to square one
(Nothing to do with radio fitba incidentally )
I reckon that Andy (ridiculous name ) Sturmer has been monitoring my nocturnal transmissions (emissions? )
Spilt Milk...
In the breathless hush of 4 a.m.
In the dark sits a sad cliche.
Cloaked in the navy blue of slowly fading stars

Never mind eh...
Mibbes you'll have better luck with your copy and paste of said post on the Huddleboard or SF Mad.

If you've ever worn a tall hat like a druid in the old days....
..in Fawkirk High Street...
...on a Saturday night at chuckin out time...
....then you're prolly well aware of the ad-hoc and selective approach to public order legislation employed by the big, ugly Fawkirk polis
Fascist bastards

Wait for the solo - definitely worth it

Y'know that's what I love about this place
If you're feelin a bit down... or lonely....
You can come on here...
... and be given the rubber ear by a totally better class of arsehole
Y'know - ones that are perfeckly happy to sook up the vibe and then fuck off when they get bored
Fuck yeez - ahm off to Facebook to annoy them for a bit

Re: Great Lost Tracks - An Everyday Series
Talent show time at Forth Valley College approaches once more
I gotta wee grab-bag of potential songs that I'm considering
This is on the list - least likey tho - due to the chronic shortage of pissed-up,raggedy-arsed kindred spirits (and a violin player ) to fill in the gaps in my pianner pounding.

Re: Great Lost Tracks - An Everyday Series
Quite fancy a crack at this one too.
Just so I can lead in with the story of the song's inspiration
Apparently Mike Reid (no... not that one ) got the idea after reading about a court case where an inveterate toper had shot up his girlfriend's car when she tried to leave him. After being asked by a very pompous and self-righteous judge - right before he sent the poor smokehound down - if the defendant had learned anything from his experience, the accused said
"I learned, Your Honor, that you can't make a woman love you... if she don't."
Great story - triffic song.

I might reprise my (piss-poor) Tom Waits impressonation with this crowd pleaser...
(I'd need to climb on the ole pianna stool for the high notes mind )
