Re: Great Lost Tracks - An Everyday Series
I'm considering doing this one for the talent show
I'll modify the stage-attire a bit - (keep the frock and the boots - lose the earrings )
Love how testy Retha looks in this - but with a wee smirk behind it cos she knows she's only play-actin it really.

Not to mention any lovers of the dramatic art
Liverpool Echo will not be currently going into production at The Royal Court, Lahhn-dun.
However their literary manager/senior reader was very complimentary...
I wanted to thank you very much for passing on Liverpool Echo, which I’ve
just read. The quality of the dialogue is exceptional, and maintains a
combination of bitter discontent and unwilling symbiosis between John and Paul,
which gives the play’s present great tension and power, despite the emphasis on
the past. The character of Cooper is brilliantly achieved, and the play develops
unpredictably towards its poignant final image. It was a genuinely entertaining
and emotionally complex read, and I’m so glad to have come across it.
I’ve got no doubt the play will find a home – it certainly deserves to.
I can hear the "home" puns already
This is a long-winded way of saying thank you. It’s a very impressive and
absorbing play, and I enjoyed it enormously.
Plissken's gony have a field day with that
Phoned the ole writing partner to see if this is standard issue bullshit between luvvies
He assures me that his (our) agent has a decent relationship with Ruth Little
(My no drinking during the week rule is wobbling at this point)
He further assures me that she wouldn't bullshit Julia
(Ice in the glass...)
He goes - 'yeah.. it's a pretty good sign' (He's notoriously downbeat )
This is not good, was going to treat my cultural partner to your play (if you sent me some comps of course ) immo.
Where do you go from here immo?

From a fillum?
(How intuitively prescient )
Lucky guess?
Naaaaah
I'm sure nobody's heard of this without being pointed-to/recced it.
That's the power of the Stenny Board
And Alan Price
With whom I'm irretrievably in love.
As y'all know.

Re: Great Lost Tracks - An Everyday Series
Takes about three listens...
This next...
First listen and you'll be all ...
"Yeah - a woman is just like a 'horse' !!! To be 'caught', 'tamed' and 'owned'!!!??? "
Then, someone much older and wiser than you will tellya...
" It's not that kinda 'horse' it's a smack addiction he's on about "
And you'll be all like... "Cuh-chuhhh!!! I knew that "
Even if you din't
It's great bein all prescient and cool after the fact
Incidentally...
...those of you who take the time to contact me about my own OCD prollems with the grape and the grain can rest easy.
I'm fine.
So long as I never happen to catch a glimpse of my nemesis ever again...
...for the remainder of my time on the planet...
... I should be able to retire completely from the board within around three-months.
