Re: Great Lost Tracks - An Everyday Series
Last one for the night is 'off-theme'.
For 'Oor Ann' - who lost her pub (and consequently her job) to the greedy, venal, swivel-eyed, margin-obsessed cunts of Punch Taverns Inc. today.
If you're lookin in kidder... as I know you occasionally do
(If only to keep tabs on your shambling, weak-willed, disgrace of a big bruv... )
Go easy
Step lightly
Love ya

Re: Great Lost Tracks - An Everyday Series
Sure I've included that track on at least one of the comps that have gone out to the music clubbers
This one has a similar type of fraternal vibe.
Lovely wee thing I reckon.

Re: Great Lost Tracks - An Everyday Series
Apart from this like
Doesn't count unfortunately as I shamelessly filched it off Radcliffe and Maconie earlier this week.
On the plus side - it's only a "two-point" breach of music-thread protocol
So I should be available for the weekend's Glasgow Derby

Re: Great Lost Tracks - An Everyday Series
Terrible news for the circling culture-vulture
(Hey Vern )
Not to mention any lovers of the dramatic art
Liverpool Echo will not be currently going into production at The Royal Court, Lahhn-dun.
However their literary manager/senior reader was very complimentary...
I wanted to thank you very much for passing on Liverpool Echo, which I’ve
just read. The quality of the dialogue is exceptional, and maintains a
combination of bitter discontent and unwilling symbiosis between John and Paul,
which gives the play’s present great tension and power, despite the emphasis on
the past. The character of Cooper is brilliantly achieved, and the play develops
unpredictably towards its poignant final image. It was a genuinely entertaining
and emotionally complex read, and I’m so glad to have come across it.
I’ve got no doubt the play will find a home – it certainly deserves to.
I can hear the "home" puns already
This is a long-winded way of saying thank you. It’s a very impressive and
absorbing play, and I enjoyed it enormously.
Plissken's gony have a field day with that
Phoned the ole writing partner to see if this is standard issue bullshit between luvvies
He assures me that his (our) agent has a decent relationship with Ruth Little
(My no drinking during the week rule is wobbling at this point)
He further assures me that she wouldn't bullshit Julia
(Ice in the glass...)
He goes - 'yeah.. it's a pretty good sign' (He's notoriously downbeat )
