One
Two
Three
Four...

Matthew Arnold knew the score...

Come to me in my dreams, and then
By day I shall be well again.
For then the night will more than pay
The hopeless longing of the day.

Can you feel that love in the room? Laughing Laughing

This is my latest (drunken) party-piece since Toots got me the "Bad Love" songbook for my B'day.

I've almost nailed it.

I can't quibble with anyone who posts contributions from the wonderful Mr Newman, Immo. And Amy Winehouse was a nice bonus.

Sorry to disappoint you.

Shite week No Mad

I dunno No scratch

You go the extra mile...

Make the extra effort...

(and I deffo did this week Twisted Evil )

and the responses range from the outright hostile...

"Yeah it's a great online resource - musta taken you ages of your free (unpaid) time - but you said you'd find out who had your copy of "Billy Liar" out on loan and you never - and I can't do it myself cos I'm only an intelligent, fully functioning, sickeningly young and good-looking first-year degree student.

You're a rubbish teacher. Sad"

to the (even worse imo) desultory throwaway acknowledgment...

"Yeah... Rolling Eyes s'great Rolling Eyes ta... Rolling Eyes Rolling EyesNeutral " Sad

Kinda stuff's normally W off a D's B for me

But it got to me this week - I dunno why Ponder2

I was on the verge of sending a "Dear Mongoloid..." response to a very snotty (and misinformed) e-mail I received mid-morning Swearing

Then... as i teetered on the brink of complete self-obliteration...

I remembered Exclamation

At some later point in the day you will be well on the way and sat in front of a screen/keyboard combo which will enable you to pour the soothing balm on yer woes by posting that Jimmy Bo Horne track

Again pirat Very Happy

There was a record fair at the indoor market beside the college today.

Due to a surfeit of limpet-like studes and administrative BS... I was only able to get there 20 mins before it closed Evil or Very Mad Mad

Still plenty of time to get tempted by a Richard Hell 12" Blank Generation and a Gen X pic-bag copy of Ready Steady Go mind Rolling Eyes Laughing

I ended up with a 4 quid copy of Heaven Up Here by The Bunnies (mint condition, original inner, textured sleeve)

And a wee two quid gem on the Chiswick label

(One of the most aesthetically pleasing of all the record labels cheers )

Y'know... Ponder2

If you slough off your received knowledge about all the farty, stereotypical elements of 'Eavy Mettul

(and ignore some of the right-wing, socially-inadequate dandruff-magnets who champion it obviously Rolling Eyes Suspect No )

Then this next sounds like a ridiculously ennervating, collective, full-tilt attempt at the world land-speed record (with guitars) (and crap duds)

Unbleevably good air-drummin fodder an'all

Laughing
