Final night of their tour, and Arcade Fire are still a band who play like they're enjoying themselves. I like that. Get fed up with ennui laden rock stars, or guys who start playing God as soon as they work out an audience will sing along to their banal self conscious, self righteous ditties thought up in first class while the cabin crew kisses their bawbag.

Anyway, the Fire, by contrast were quite uplifting. Even at the SECC, they managed to make that dull ole aircraft hangar buzz a little with a set that included a lot of their standards as well as a few from the new album. I liked it. They know what they're about Arcade Fire, and that's fine by me.

Pics aren't too great but I liked the view from this seat, which was much better than the pics suggest.

Saw Arcade Fire at the same venue three years ago, and last night just shaded that one. A testament to keeping things simple.
