Eventually managed to fit them after having going to Halfords to buy a 15mm spanner. They don't tell you that both pedals are loosened towards the back wheel, its like the Krypton factor trying to get them off Easy enough when you have the proper tool though, my free bike spanners will never turn another nut .... ever

Anyway, the new shoes are on and I'm off like Bambi on ice. Those carbon soles stick to nothing but eventually they're clicked in and I'm up and down the road practising the release. The left shoes a bit sticky, thought it was my dodgy hip but I couldn't have tightened it enough. I decided I had it cracked so headed back to the house, "I'll release the right one and stop at the kerb" I thought, should be safe enough. Just about there and released the right, stopping .... stoping when the fuckin thing clicked back into the pedal

The panic had me now, I've fuckin had I was thinking when by a miracle I got my right foot out again. Just a pity I was already falling left and ended up lying on the road with my bike on top of me Thankfully there was no one about, so might have got away with it

Did I say I'm going back to the golf, its much safer and you can get pished afterwards
