This LP ( can we still call em that? ) scored very highly.

Also managed to add another 'funeral-track' to the list.

Wickedly sly and funny. Just what ye'd want for that kinda gig.

I'll insist, of course that Toots sit motionless behind a full drum-kit (inc big gong) dressed as Roger Taylor for the duration of the service/track; then turns to bash the big gong behind her at the end.

It's what she woulda wanted.

The red dress will set the whole thing off nicely...

...unless I decide to get buried in a different outfit of course.

Enjoyed this lot an'all.

Of course it wasn't all mainstream... I stayed true to the board's cliquey, pretentious, intellectual roots by including a few 'Avant' pieces on the list.

A coupla years before I got smitten with Ye Puncke (c) bug, my Uncle Geordie died and I inherited a load of old copies of Punch magazine.

I'd heard of it (obviously) but never read it.

Some of the cartoons were good... and I liked Alan Coren's Idi Amin stuff... and most of his other stuff....

... but most of it was undecipherable to a callow 13-year-old like my(then)self.

I mean... wtf nuggets of life-knowledge was I meant to glean from the (no doubt ultra-witty ) description of the male menopause as;

... being awake in the small hours, eating breakfast cereal and leafing through an old school book"

I was quite fond of the cereal-as-late-night-telly-accompaniment.... but I had no idea what menopause meant. I reckoned it was prolly summat 'dirty' tho... surely I couldn't be afflicted already???
