It's all in the rhythms of the lyric with this one

(The words... always the words Smile )

"...got the number of the getaway car
...didn't get very far"

"...don't remember if she was my friend
...it was a long time ago"

Fantastic stuff Gee. cheers

I've been belatedly checking out Kevin Ayers on your recommendation. Started off with the Songs for Insane Times anthology and I'm finding loads of good stuff. Fave track at the moment is the shonkily-charming 'May I' off Shooting at the Moon.

Is that a good album or is there a better one? Sherlock

Shooting at the Moon's a great album albeit a bit jazzy in parts. My favourite LP is 'Joy of a Toy', due to the quaint, poppy nature of most of the songs. Lunatics Lament from Shooting at the Moon is memorable due to Mike Oldfield's guitar playing.

All good stuff, and of course, Julian Cope reminds me of a younger Kevin Ayers, which I must have said before on here. Just a dozen years younger nowadays (or thenadays too). Very Happy

Question for mother and eldest child only.

In radio terms... with which specific day/time would you associate this groovalicious little slow-burner?

One for David 'weary' Weir.

Prompted by the fact that Jarv is currently on 6 Music providing the soundtrack to my kitchen prep.

Oh yeah... and also by Hooperman's first touch past him on the opener today. Laughing
