I referenced this track to someone last week and got a blank look. Kids today.

Re: Great Lost Tracks - An Everyday Series
Oh oh funny how the mind works, James. I was thinking of this tune tonight.....not the best version available on YT, but unfortunately the embed has been disabled on the older, better one....
For anoraks, this is the version with the much much better video here: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ltRwmgYEUr8
Years ago (Crown will like this story, and if not then hopefully Immo will)......where was I....ah yes, years ago I was in a Chicago club listening to Big Gloria Hardiman and the Professor's Blues Review (as you do). during a break Big Gloria introduced a painfully shy boy called Anthony who came on and sang "My Girl", backed by bass and drums only. The boy sang like a fukkin angel and I wish I'd picked up his full name.
It was a golden musical moment. This is why I love live music. Just occasionally you come across a gem, and that night was such a night. Blue Chicago, late 1990.
The place has moved address and tarted itself up a bit these days - but Gloria's still playing:

Re: Great Lost Tracks - An Everyday Series
This lot's new single 'I Saw Her Today" is getting a bit of airtime on 6 Music at the moment.
I'm very keen on it
(And the single's not bad either )
Unfortunately - it's not on YouTube yet.
This is their debut - not as good - but it has a certain freebooting, loutish charm.

Oooof. So much tension on here. Backbiting, nerves...I dunno. Sometimes it's good just to chill with a tune or two from way back when.

Re: Great Lost Tracks - An Everyday Series
Just using the embed codes as usual Jimmy, and from his knicker-twisting it seems the Poster of the Year can see 'em OK.

Re: Great Lost Tracks - An Everyday Series
I can't
I'm just too polite to say
If you copy the bit in quotation marks ( from 'http' to '&' ) and paste it into the address bar it plays the track in full-screen.
Fuck does 'knicker-twisting' mean anyhow?

I'll tell you what tho...
That's the last time me and Toots spend Christmas at Bewlay's house
(It's much funnier if you're aware of how closely Toots and I resemble Una S. and the Randy Scouse Git )

Copy the youtube address and paste it into the green "video" button dialogue box mo, they seem to work that way rather than the embedding link. Put that on your bill James?
