Weekly Music Theme

We seem to have big long meandering threads where good tracks get lost. Why don't we try a weekly theme with someone posting a new topic each Monday and see where we go from there?

I'll kick it off with songs about birth and death, that should be suitably vague to get us going

Well, it's a lovely day here, so gonna load some audio books on my phone and nip out for a quick 50 miles. Hope the Trek is delivered soon mate.

I’m not talking to you anyway.

50 minutes into this morning’s ride, I heard a ping:



The hub had split, I blame you for this .

No worries I thought, instead of ringing for a lift, I’ll walk home, it will only take me a couple of hours which will complete my usual 3 hours of exercise.

Half an hour into the walk a woman tried to pick me up. She was obviously impressed by my tanned and muscled legs.
Lone female motorists shouldn’t try and pick up Rangers supporting cyclists, it’s not a very safe course of action.
Anyway, I turned her down and carried on walking.

Now I wear cleats, and if you walk on roads, they wear the soles and cleats out so you have to walk on the verge. Now what grows on the verge? That’s right, nettles. My magnificent legs are covered in stings, I’m not happy.

A bicycle is a very efficient machine and I’d underestimated the distance cycled, it was 15 miles and took me 2 and ¾ fucking hours to walk home, I’m knackered.

Fucking roads, I'm getting a spring replaced in my car tomorrow. The second one this year, bastards must be spending our fuel duty on their expenses
