Yo La Tengo in Glasgow tonight
One band that puts the E in Eclectic. Let's face it, any band that closes a set with a 15 minute instrumental has got balls.
Wasn't sure what to expect tonight, but have to say that for this bear Yo La Tengo son muy bien (y tienen los cojones del perro)....
Here's an all-out thrash with frantic keyboards and some hot feedback action:
And a moment where Georgia Hubley stepped out from behind the drums to lead the sing-song:
Now remember kids, in the words of our beloved admin, if there ain't no pictures there ain't no show. Your pal Supermo always delivers.
Now get along and see some live gigs or something, instead of marrying your cousins or your livestock, or whatever it is you do out there in the sticks. It's a wonderful world.

Funny, thought I went to a football match.
You know I'm an atheist, and think all football fans are utter scum mate, those barbs mean nothing to me.

Bet you didn't see much football (when you were actually in the ground).
I'm agnostic Crown. I treat all people the same. Except huncyclists obviously. And I'm going off Ipswich supporters

My own experience too, mo.
Said to my old man at 16 that I wasn't going to go to Mass any more. His reply?
"That's fine. Where are you planning to live?"
Two years of going for hour long walks on Sundays followed. Kept me fit if nothing else.

Re: Yo La Tengo in Glasgow tonight
Had a similar experience with my mother.
My Dad, god bless him, was a proddy. But he did hate Rangers, just about the only thing he did with any sort of religious fervour.
I went off it around 15, revived for a while if there was a lust angle that involved going to Mass. Spent a while hanging round St Alphonsus church on London Rd being spurned by my boss's daughter when I was about 16/17

But still a cunt in your eyes, I hope.
I regard that as a kind of badge of honour in a 'I must be doing something right if a fuckwit huncyclist thinks I'm a cunt' kind of way!

Re: Yo La Tengo in Glasgow tonight
PS for regular viewers. After last week's gig reviews, this week Supermo will be bringing you Eddie Izzard and the Alabama 3....on separate nights, obviously.
Crown will be bringing us more shite pubs, piccies of a few corporate drinks franchises and some shite about early morning cycling and barmaids with big tits.
Immo will bring up something around 4am some night. No idea on the subject but it will involve up to 20 You Tube embedments. Several of which he'll have embedded before, but forgotten about.
Everything else is a bonus. Even Peppy. But not Lenoard
