Hottest ticket in town...
...tonight?
No contest.
That'll be the Glasvegas homecoming/Chrimbo bash at the Barras.
Myself and the saintly Mr McChord will be in attendance.
I was a bit dubious about the album at first but it's a proper grower.
(Current faves "Go Square Go", "Lonesome Swan" and "Geraldine")
I'm guessin that hearing it in the company of a huge , sweaty crowd of half-mad, pissed-up, spliffed-up Weegie music-mentalists will be:
(a) Magic
(b) Almost my perfect working environment
(c) Both of the above
Will report back
If I'm able

I'm not convinced
Not that you won't be pissed Immo only that Glasvegas might be a bit over rated

Re: Hottest ticket in town...
Lot of police round the Gallowgate tonight, maybe Immo's having a square go at the mirror in the gents or something
Agree Jimmy, not sure the album has staying power. Plus I saw the singer wear shades throughout his appearance on Buzzcocks, which struck me as right wanker behaviour.
No doubt Immo will return raving. Probably not a patch on the Kings of Leon at the SECC last week...

Re: Hottest ticket in town...
Gotta say it - they were very good indeed live.
Tight as a gnat's chuff and extrememly loud.
Just what you want really.
Even managed to wangle entry to the backstage post-gig bash although, disappointingly, there was a complete dearth of bald, Peruvian midget prozzies with lines of coke chopped out on their gleaming domes.
Just bottled beer really.
The whole evening was an unqualified success.
Right up to the point where I went arse over tit down the stairs to the exit and fcked my ankle good and proper.
Currently "Douglas Badgering" it up and down the corridors of the college much to the amusement of both my colleagues and my studes.
Bastards

Were the dwarves with coke not a feature of Queen parties?

Re: Hottest ticket in town...
I dunno - I've never been to one of theirs
Feeling a bit more chipper now due to repeated 400mg dosages of heavy-duty painkillers
That and the odd snifter of course
Good gig tho.
Dunno if I'd rec the album on the back of it - there's a bit of filler in there, however the stand-out tracks (about 5 of them) are triffic with the volume up and the windows open.

My bro-in-law's brufens.
Prolly nowt to an inveterate drugs-cheat like yerself - but doing the trick nicely in combo with Big Pietr's lovely Rooshian falling-down water.
Each to his own re the 'Vegas album I s'pose
It wouldn't do if everybody liked the same things
Think of the queues for a start

Fuck, if the pills don't give you a buzz they're not worth having.
Got some Mezoxicam to try. No idea if they're any good, perhaps ono could give an opinion?
