Been on a trip

Taking advice from folk here, I've been away again spotting the arts in other places.

It's a Junkers Stuka I've got.

I was in Berlin, haven't managed to sort out photies yet.

I’ve always wanted to visit Berlin, with ‘ostalgia’ being a big draw for me. As an example, my favourite car for some years has been the Trabant.

So off we went on Mr. T’s Easyjet plane last week (see above), in search of diverse architecture, nightlife, contemporary arts and culture.

I don’t think we saw everything, but visited the most important spots.


I can’t speak German, but they appear to be a right sexy crew.




And here, one of Berlin’s famous statues I suppose. There are lots of sculptures all over the city, but this was one of my favourites, underlining the kinky nature of Der Kraut. I think it’s Joseph Goebbels.



Enough of the renowned figures, on to the museums:



Obsessed.

Another...........It was 11Euros to get in to this sausage museum, so I fucked off to look for a Fräulein with a stein.



Met this guy who claimed he was a big Bear (perhaps it was Crown, I know he’s a traveller)



Then back to the hotel where I let my hair down for a few hours.



Next day, back out with the camera sightseeing:
Germans are fixated with sex. I could hardly bring myself to take this photo.



Even the drinks have doubtful elements to them:



They’ve moved into the ‘nineties as well, taking credit for inventing transvestites.



“Rot oder grün” asks the barman when you order a beer: I got both. Advice is to stay clear of this stuff, it’s weak pish.



There you are, don’t think I missed much, but never saw a Trabant yet. I did buy a DDR Officer’s Cossack winter hat though. I'll wear it up a mountain later in the year. And down the pub.

Last time I was in Bremen I saw an ad for "Billy Boy Condoms" but failed to take a picture.

If only every Billy Boy's parents had used condoms....

you wanna see trabants, go to bulgaria, theres millions of them there, or at least there was 30 years ago, but in saying that, i also had my own "spy" trailing me around for a fortnight, i went over to him and asked him if he wanted a beer, he ran away, but was back half an hour later.

Haw Sev, you do know "beer" in Bulgarian means "gobble"?
