Caught the end of it (Toots wanted to watch 'Being Human' ) but it looked pretty good.
I'll i-player it
Unless of course i-player has already been axed in order to plough more funds into the crinoline budgets for "Lark Rise..." (Darling Buds of May for broadsheet readers essentially)
I've already fired off two e-mails regarding 6Music

Can't help thinking the 6Music / Asian Network thing is a bit of a political thing, Immo. The BBC don't intend to save any money by closing them. And they've picked two channels with small but loyal and vociferous followings for the axed - two months before an election.
I suspect this is all about protecting the licence fee and pointing the blame elsehwere if the Tories win. Mark Thompson hasn't shut down a service in his life.

PS I take it Crown was watching "The Lives of Others"? Which can be seen on SkyMovies regularly as well as being on DVD for the last couple of years?
Great movie.

Yeah - I was kinda hoping it might be one of those 'testing the water' announcements Mo.
Fuckin love 6Music - would be gutted to see it dropped for yet another station populated by grinning bladders on sticks playing from the same old Plumstead/mainstrean playlist.
The imminent election of the Tories (and the accompanying sabre-rattling from Murdoch pere and fils) is definitely what's makin em twitchy tho - you're right. Just wish they'd grow a set and fight their corner more positively.

Re: BBC 4 10pm 2/3/2010
I think it's the BBC at their most cynical, Immo.
Not so sure that closing 6Music or Asian Network are what Murdoch or the Tories want. It's about what the BBC want people to think they want. Note the BBC still expects to benefit from the same level of licence fee income while supposedly "cutting" services. The supposed website "cuts" aren't happening for years either.
Orwell didn't think up 1984 while working for the BBC for nothing y'know. It's a deeply political organisation. Never take their statements at face value.

Y'know I don't reckon you're far off with that Mo.
Embdy'd think you used to earn a crust from this stuff
BTW
I'm perfectly aware of how political/steeped in the establishment Auntie is. I just love her madly and irrationally is all.
