Supermo, I can't wait: Lee B was a down to earth guy too; I met him in Edinburgh prior to a gig, and was in awe. He never bothered about my gaucherie, and chatted as though I was an old friend, showing patience with a fan. He died soon after: I never knew he was that ill.

I take it that both of you (musically erudite ) gentlemen are aware that John Cale will be performing his 'Paris 1919' album in its entirety at the Royal Festival Hall, London on 5th March next year...

Yes I was aware of that Immo, and a minibus is tempting (well if it looks like an Easyjet that is)
Wilko Johnson is playing the 100 Club a week today. I was seriously tempted to travel when he played there a couple of months ago, but apart from the weather a flight down the day before hogmanay could risk divorce. Wimmin !

Neither did I G, his death was a complete shock.
The first time I saw them they were supporting Hawkwind, a real mismatch if ever I saw one.
The next time was the Malpractice tour, when they were approaching their peak and Back in the Night was in the charts. The live album that followed was stupendous. It all went downhill for me when Wilko left but they were still a formidable force as a live act. Really looking forward to this movie!

Had a wee search, and found this ticket...
18 months before his death, so a bit out on dates, but I reckon, after this tour he only played the couple more gigs on Canvey Island with the Feelgoods. Really looking forward to the film!
I've included my hand on the photo, so you can see I've got six fingers on my right hand!
Unusual.
