this week's entertainment
As promised a couple of distant and noisy pics from Regina Spektor on Tuesday night......what a star she is, good song-writer, great singer, showed a bit of class after some numpty hit her in the face with a teeshirt. i was well in touch with my feminine side by the end of Regina's sweet sweet evening...
However, testosterone levels were restored tonight at the ABC, where Glasgow band Big Ned played a 25 minute set way down the bill but better than the bands above them imo. Very dark, art school possibly, heavy David Lynch influence. Think the singer grew up with a poster of Iggy on his bedroom wall and a VHS of Blue Velvet permanently jammed in his VCR.......but I like it.
Their label Optimo are trying to promote the guys these days. Couple of mean guitarists.....

ffs jimmy, you've been conversing with Licker too much lately.

If any of our younger readers were ever to feel the need to look up the 'guid' 'oul' 'Lowland -Scots' word.... 'guddlin'...
I reckon that the O.E.D. might consider a link to this thread.
