A new game/waste of time...
Apparently a pleasingly random thing to do online is to pick up the book/publication nearest to you at this point, turn to page 23... and post the 5th sentence on that page on this (or any other) message board...
Hmmmm
This cutting-edge, uber-zeitgeisty trend was introduced to me by Toots.
Who saw it on some weirdo/oddball site she visits.
(Fulla sad-acts, nearly-weres, freaks, dangerous loners and outright fuckin nutcases - nothing like here )
Bein as how she hollered the necessary information through the locked bathroom door as i was enjoying a quick commune with my maker...
(A persistent little quirk that i've decided to find charming )
... I decided to put the theory to the test on the book I had in my hand at the time...
"But I don't wanna give the impression that I know what everything means 'cause I don't...there are times when I'm mystified and I look at some of the stuff that comes out, y'know."
What's the point?
Do we try to guess these?
Should clues be available?

You're taking the concept too literally, one shouldn't need to try and identify the publication, but see where the post leads. This is stennymad, and we don't follow the rules.

Re: A new game/waste of time...
You're right of course.
I just love a quiz me
It was from Psychotic Reactions and Carburetor Dung by Lester Bangs if that's any use.
It's the bathroom book of choice chez Greene at the moment - alongside it's companion - Harry Hill's Great Big Joke Book.
Free form away.

No, no, it's a runner and people should participate, but we should perhaps usurp the norm and not place the emphasis on identification. I myself would post, but "Follow Follow" doesn't number 23 pages.

Re: A new game/waste of time...
Strictly speaking this is the 6th sentence on page 23 of my current book, but the 5th one was only 4 words and would have made no sense. Onywiz, here it is ......
"Only downside was the engines looked fucked. All of them."

Getting warm, Immo. Think of an author who's virtues he has been extolling ever since he's been posting on here.
And ignore the licker. He obviously wants this fred to read like a rejected Monty Python sketch, whereas most of just want something quizlike ............... so we can Google for the answers!
