New York Dolls, Garage (Glasgow) last night

There are times when all you want is a good old fashioned night of rock n roll. A few hundred people got hot sweaty and deaf at the Garage where the Dolls dished up just that last night. It's only when you see bands like the Dolls you remember the legacy of New York punk and remember just how much Britpunk ripped it off. McLaren was a cunt.
Here's the Dolls, just two of the original band left alive but still rockin tonight:
People used to think David Johansen was the poor man's Jagger. There is a resemblance but his stance actually reminds me of that moment in the Godfather when a certain character stands, points at Michael Corleone, and struts towards him pointing. "Do you know who I am ?? I'm Mo Green! I made my bones in this business when you were still chasing cheerleaders..."
Almost a perfect night. Should have remembered my proper camera but fukk it.
