Re: Favourite Watch With Mother?
Can't separate Clangers (especially the "Money" episode) and Ivor The Engine (especially the music)
According to my own white-haired mother I used to bawl the house down every time Andy Pandy finished - so much so that she stopped switching the telly on when it was being shown.
Something do do with the melancholic tone of the end theme I reckon.
"Time to go hoooome... time to go hooome. Andy and Teddy are waving goodbye"
Although being only two or three years old at the time I wouldn't know.
Oliver Postgate was a fukkin genius - no doubt
Like Das Kapital... for kids

He never went all the way.
Not till the end of the series anyhow
The guy who's about to speak at the end of that last clip went on to play a smack addict in Brookie
Go figger

Kick-start eh?
That sounds so much like Plissken laffin it up in the background that it makes up for the crappy quality of the clip

They used that for years and at the drop of an H Sev.
I remember watching a 35 minute loop of it one Saturday afternoon when the afternoon card at Redcar was scratched due to frost.
It was a nice follow up to International Sports Special
(Or "Fukkin Log-Rollin from Canada again??? "as Immo pere used to refer to it )
