His wife is one of those wives who doesn't work but spends the day arranging things.

Recently she discovered that she had a problem with dates she had set for various tradesmen.

She left the following message on the plumber's answerphone.

"Would it be possible for you to come in and finish me off tomorrow - it's just that I know i've got the painters in on Thursday"
