Great album, again, every track is super on Lola Versus Powerman etc...

Always get upset at this song, very few bits of the world distress me.

Finally, another from Mott the Hoople, again, not a bad track on Brain Capers.

Sober tonight, can't get enough of this track. It's helped keep my hangover at bay with its majesty

Seen I'm passing by, better have a tune. This came on random on my Ipod the other day. It's a classic, the Ipod and the song. Hate the Apple shite with a vengeance though, when its on random you can hear the fucking disk booting up for each track  

Anyway I digress

I've no idea what inspired me to put this in my favourites folder.

The cadences/harmonies kinda remind me of this (edited) masterpiece.

Mibbes I had a moment of drunken serendipitous clarity.

Unlikely as that seems.   

Test is entirely correct.   

There is no joy.   

The trick is finding the odd six-and-a-half minutes in the day where you can forget this partickler truism.   

Here's Dave Clark Five's cover of that song which is in the present DFS advert: white RnB at it's 1960's best! DC5 preceded the Kinks as my favourite band all those years ago.

I taught big Des back in 2000-and-odd when he was an engineer/pipe-fitter.
