I was reminded during a recent visit of that image of Falkirk FC on TV, playing before quite an impressive stand for a club of its size...

Until you see the view of toxic wasteland (and in the distance, Grangemouth!) from said stand, including the little perch that the club built for the TV cameras Very Happy

Later I visited the bus factory, which is busy these days. And proof that despite the impression we'd get from feckless examples of Immo and Gladstone, some people in Falkirk do actually fukkin work (although none of the ones I spoke to at Alexander's actually admitted to living in Falkirk obviously).

For one... If I need a reminder of the provincial shit-hole that my life-narrative got stuck in, I'll simply stick my enormous saggy cranium out the window and breathe in. Twisted Evil

For two... Your spelling of 'impressive' is appalling. Obviously it should be spelt 'underwhelming' Rolling Eyes

And C... The title of your essay/travelogue is paradoxical. There's nothing funny about Falkirk. Ever. Evil or Very Mad

1/10 - must try harder. Cool

The stadium picture was really for the benefit of those who may not have visited the toxic dump fair town of Falkirk, Immo.

Shed your baggage man, love your town! Very Happy

That stand along with the Kelpies is all the Council have contributed to the area in many years. There we see a reason why Falkirk Council is skint. No

Alexanders (in Camelon) unwittingly supplies the local area with all types of goods. I've got 2 boiler suits and a set of paint brushes (to do snake's picture) from there recently. Very Happy

Anyway, here's the quiz: what do Falkirk FC and Grimsby Town FC have in common? Question

wtf is the Kelpies, G? Explain!

Your admission of grand larceny has been forwarded to the appropriate authorities at Messrs Alexanders.

Sydney Opera House perhaps? The Hanging Gardens of Babylon? Herds of wildebeest sweeping majestically across the plain...
