Living the dream
St Helens tomorrow, to see "The Dream". http://www.dreamsthelens.com/ So excited I nearly smiled today.
Really looking forward to it, expect a boring account of what a special experience it is.
As anywhere in the north of England seems to be, "only just down the road from old sevvy", I'm more than happy to meet and let you buy me lunch, sev.

I'm jealous of you folk getting out to all these far flung places: I'm going to Denny for a short while tomorrow, then into the Commercial at Larbert Cross.

That's because we're allowed by law to pass beyond five miles of our homes, G.
Don't be jealous.

Re: Living the dream
Superb stuff Crown.
St Helens does look like a bit of a provincial shit-hole (don't let Johnny Vegas hear you sayin that mind )
However you forget that although St H. may well be the anus of the UK...
...Falkirk's a bit further up than that.
That art installation/statue looks fucking brilliant tho - may well factor it into the intinerary next time Toots and I are travelling int' North.
PS
1. Never lose your snobbishness/judgmental streak - it's part of your ineffable charm.
2. I have never worn a perra tracky bottoms in my nellie duff
3. I found the image of a cup of tea within the walls of a (proper) drinking establishment quite disturbing. Try to avoid such heresy in any future travelogues.
Absolutely splendid to have you back man - you've been sorely missed
