Re: The Football Years
The boy fae The Raploch
Have you seen the path in Raploch with the wee plaques embedded in it Gee?
BB is one of my all-time H's
I never really got over the sight of him tearfully mobbing Joe Jordan after his (essentially meaningless) equaliser vs Yugoslavia in 74.

I never knew about the path: I'm quite often up at the Raploch too. It's changed a hell of a lot!
Have to look out for it: see, that's an interesting thing!

Re: The Football Years
It's just across the road from my mate Monshewer McChord's house.
Got 'something in my eye' first time I saw it.
The plaque that is - not the house - which is a delight - just in case he's looking in

Re: The Football Years
You turn right just before the new campus and follow the road round to the swing park on the big grassy bit.
The path runs along the side of the trees beside the swing park.
Doesn't swing park sound like a peculiarly old-fashioned idea of what might pass for youth entertainment?
God I feel old

I had a lot of fun down the 'swing park'!
With the girls as well as the boys. The girls were good footballers................
