For those of us who are old enough to remember (ok me then) in those days you usually got two films with 'Pearl and Dean' presenting the adverts which always had local ads from Indian Restaurants amongst others.

Pepe (notice I'm speaking in the first person...what a fhanny) will now present to you Cinema De Seventoises

You'll also notice I'm posting all these pathetic clips separately so that I artificially boost my post count.

When you went to the pictures then you always got adverts for fags and they were always EXOTIC Suspect

You wouldn't know. You were in Torquay at the time which doesn't count as reality.

I was born in Plymouth strangely enough but as Bewley knows who I am I better watch my step

Now this almost certainly wasn't shown at the flicks(that's another British slang name for all you yankee boys out there) but it ought to have been. This is the best advert to come out of the Seventies. Which was the decade that God created especially if you like being out on strike all the time.

Now for a proper local advert. This is from the Sixties (notice the lsd Very Happy ) but it is completely represesantive of the the crap (which we all thought was fucking brilliant at the time) that we got fed

Now this particular ad might have been from the early Eighties (too sophisticated for the 70s Very Happy i kid you not) but Kia ora was sold at the pics definitely in the 70s and .I think, in the 60s as well.

What was it? Orangade of course which means it contained about 1% orange juice

I've got to put this one on because it's got that bit where the lights dim and the curtain drops down which was a MAGIC moment at the time.

This is a compilation of stuff from the 60s and 70s. I remember when Zoom ice lollies came out in the late 60s

I love it. It's got a trailer for Live and Let Die

I forgot all about trailers.
