If Gretna Go Out OF Business....
there will be a replacement coming into the league to replace them. Posters on SF Net are saying it's a toss up between Spartans and Cove. Now I know you Old Firm merchants couldn't give a monkeys what happens outside Glasgow but there is a possibility that your club could be drawn against one of these teams in the cup(s)
Spartans are based in Edinburgh so that should be convenient for many

Cove Rangers situated in Aberdeen so a bit of a trek for most people

Re: If Gretna Go Out OF Business....
I'm gonna go on the strips man
Cove - very traditional. Stripes. And they're blue & white
Naah
I'm gonna go with Spartans and their bold decision to flout the stuffy rules of strip ettiquette by going for the plain white shirt with the big black question mark on the front. It's got a wee Riddler thing going for it.

Re: If Gretna Go Out OF Business....
In fairness it should be a south team given the Highland League has had a fair share of the recent additions but then again Gretna made an arse of it so fuck them

Re: If Gretna Go Out OF Business....
Is there an elephant in the room here?
Isn't the proper response to the hypothesis in the thread title,
"Who gives a rat's fart" ?
Aint it funny how you can look at a crossword clue for ages, walk away, do summat else, then come back and...
...waddya know :o
You realise that you've wasted years of your life tearing your hair out over a truckle of fuck-all
Designed by some tweedy cunt
Who prolly never gave you a thought in his/her benighted/Knightsbridge life.
I'm lookin right at you Auracaria/Enigmatist

Re: If Gretna Go Out OF Business....
Gretna have now bitten the dust. Well done Mileson you fucking tit. Did you get bored with your toy?
This is a good article off the BBC website. Apparently in Italy they call what Mileson did 'financial doping'.

There are a number of clubs lining up bids to replace Gretna, more than I initially thought.
Spartans
Cove Rangers
Annan Athletic
Preston Athletic
Also the rather curiously named Irvine Meadow XL could be a surprise contender. They have a decent catchment area for fans and they're supposedly bankrolled by a couple of millionaires. Hmm
