Re: Endless Art...
Figurative art, like "Pet Sounds", bores me, no offence like immo, only really into modern stuff.

Re: Endless Art...
remember years ago, missed the coach up to glasgow from manchester, had a few hours to spend till the next one, so went into the art gallery, it was an exhibition of dutch masters, close up, they were feckin amazing, hard to believe they were nearly 400 years old.

I like that kid... he's smart
A few more like him in the classroom and my job would be even more "money for jam" than it is now.
Don't get me wrong...
He's wrong again like
Pet Sounds...
The anachronistic stodginess of the figurative approach...
Hopelessly wide of the mark
I still like him tho

Rings a bell, is he an artist that makes a social comments with all his pics?
Always liked these two pieces by Man Ray:
The metronome was used on a BBC arts programme in the end credits, was it "Arena"?
Don't be too hard on uncle mo, at least he posting pictures of proper man's fannies, none of this shaved rubbish.

Re: Endless Art...
It's "The Healing of a Lunatic Boy" by Stephen Conroy.
He came from The Vale/Balloch area and he was featured in the 80s exhibition "the Vigorous Imagination"(?) along with Adrian Wieznewski (sp), Steven Campbell, Ken Currie etc.
Not particularly concerned with social comment.
Triffic use of light tho - especially in his interiors.
Like the Man Ray stuff - (and the Kandinsky as it goes )

About right for your cold, dark heart mo.
Conroy wasn't the artist I was thinking of, "Lunatic...." reminds me of someone's style, but can't recall who.
Just realised, the other day spermo was decrying the lack of pretension on here, an art thread is started, and who posts some strumpet with her monkey out? Fucking hypocrite.
Your avatar always make me laugh immo, whatever's on the wall behind your head makes it look as if you're wearing one of these:
Now if it was snake's avatar.........

Funnily enough I have a LE print of that on my wall. Although some of Howson's stuff is too dark and self-pitying for my liking.
Covered a few stories about that Conroy lad back in my days as an earnest hack during the 80s. He was getting ripped off by dealers and gallery owners and the luvvies all rallied round. Suffice to say he didn't exactly have a "business mind" in those days.

Calm down, dear, it was just a life study model from the, er, Waltons period.
I'm sure you have it "on file"
Shame Licker missed my whole post-ironic statement there. Probably too busy wanking over the Hirst auction in the Grauniad, I expect.

That scene from the Waltons has followed Stenny mad through its every incarnation, Sev.
We can take pride in that.
