Coming Outta Gig Attending Retirement
Two lined up already for 2013 plus the Tartan Heart festival. Despite living on the edge thankfully I'm not going to see Aerosmith
and rather prophetically

Congrats James.
Hope you had a blast and that all the kind words of yer peers...
... are still ringin in yer ears.
And for the above...
Pax vobiscum

Oh yeah...
...and if I've misread yer thread title I apologise.
Hope your 'coming out' gig was all you wished for.

Live music reminds you that life's worth living.
The Steve Reich weekend in Glasgow last month was one of those moments.

Re: Coming Outta Gig Attending Retirement
I see that the hairy-forearmed genius Bacharach is playing the RCH on 28th June.
The notoriously obscure Glesca Modernist Revivalists (Friday Street Club) have arranged a Mod-Weekender around the same date.
There's a live dinnertime gig in McHuills on the same day as Burt's gig.
Just sayin likes.

It's all news to me but I might be interested.
I work very close to McChuills. Never know if that's a good or bad thing...

Re: Coming Outta Gig Attending Retirement
On balance... I'd say good.
Nice area/neighbourhood.
Gentrified even.
Although I hafta say that the Lexus with the puddle of piss around the offside rear wheel and the crudely Pritt-stick-scrawled "SpErMo IS A PyooR HorSEs COk BTW..." detracts from the overall urban/boho/NY loft vibe.
Anyways... if you're growing a bit jaded with your work in that location, surely you can ask the Council to allocate you a different bin-round?
I hear Possil's nice this time of year.

Re: Coming Outta Gig Attending Retirement
The reason Licker is no longer posting is that he's suspended in the basement of our workplace in a gimp outfit, with the nearest Net connection inches away from his farthest reach.
He pissed on those tyres once too often.

Re: Coming Outta Gig Attending Retirement
Funnily enough, through no fault of my own, i ended up watching James, supported by Echo and the Bunnymen last night in Manchester, shocked and suprised that i enjoyed them both tremendously, mibbes this is that "yer near deid so away and enjoy it while ye kin" thing you boys spoke of.
