Unlocking A Mobile Phone
Is it difficult? Well I mean for someone else obviously I noticed this site that send you a code for £4

Anyway the reason I ask is that Mrs M got a new Blackberry and we want to give the wee fella her old phone. Virgin have a cracking deal for 400 mins and unlimited texts on a sim only, 12 month contract. He's got his eye on my Nokia which is due upgraded before the end of the year and its that one I'd want unlocked to stick his sim in
Thoughts crown or mo?

Re: Unlocking A Mobile Phone
Have you tried a different sim in it James, all Voda contract phones come unlocked, perhaps T-mobile are the same?
For locked contract phones, a few years ago Voda would send you an unlock code (but piss poor instructions on the procedure) free at the end of your contract.
Have heard T-mobile charge you £15 at your contract's end, which is shocking. Give CS a bell and see what they say. If they refuse to provide it free, your local, dodgy phone shop/market trader should charge no more than a fiver.
Voda are wankers by the way but have the best coverage, except 3g in Glasgow and Birmingham which is shocking for some reason.
If O2 is a good signal in your area (which I know it isn't James, but may help others) GiffGaff have some cracking sim only deals which run on O2's network:

All CS is web based and it looks a bit cowboyish, but you can port your number in and it's only a one month contract so you can port your number out if you have any problems, but I've only heard good things about the service.

Thanks crown, I'll try swapping sims first but I get the feeling I'll need to cough up for this

Re: Unlocking A Mobile Phone
Adults are talking sev, go and play in the traffic or something.
Forgot to say James, Virgin use T-mobile's network and their sims used to work on locked T-mobile phones, so bang a free Virgin sim in your phone to try.
Can we talk about settling your account at some point please, James?
