Dan le sac vs Scroobius Pip, Glasgow Classic Grand

Dan Le Sac vs Scroobius Pip have launched a new album and are on tour. They originally booked King Tut's for the Glasgow gig but it sold out so quickly they switched to the Classic Grand. Now my generation remembers that place as a porn cinema down a street where half wits and jakeys like Crown Licker hang out, but in fact it turned out to be a pretty good place for a hiphop gig.

These two Essex boys are an unlikely pairing. But somehow it works, and damned well too. Great beats from DLS, fantastic wordplay by Pip. Here's a couple of pics...

And a quick mention for one of the support acts, Sound of Rum featuring Kate Tempest. We got there as her set had started but it was excellent. Had a word with Kate at her merchandise stall (DVD for only a fiver!) and she's def a bright girl with a future (although she looks about 17 and has plooks)

Sorry for delay in posting this review, but had a busy time and the next few weeks will be the same - London, Cologne, New York, Rutherglen.....it's not all glamour though - ffs recently I was even in THIS godforsaken hellhole!
