Re: Not Buenos Aires
Avoid Falkirk.
I was in Norwich as a child, can't remember any of the above. Chavs/Neds everywhere, mostly easy to avoid (or have fun with).
Crown, you have a lovely time.

You visited Norwich as a child, or you lived there as a child, glad?

Visited as a child a few times. No idea what I meant by placing "Chavs/Neds everywhere, mostly easy to avoid (or have fun with)" in the same paragraph as "I was in Norwich as a child".
I take comfort from observing the time and day of post: off out to the pub now.

Still have no idea what you're going on about, glad.
Go to Norwich though, not very many hills/mountains, but a really cool place if you make the effort.
Off on a tangent for a change:
Don't think I've posted my reviews of Nottingham Contemporary: http://www.nottinghamcontemporary.org/
It's impossible to say how much this gallery has improved the cultural landscape in Notts. Notts is an ugly city, a really ugly city, peopled with style a deluded populace.
It's the same size as Sheffield, but Sheffield is fantastic in comparison. Sheffield can wait for another day.
Notts does have a fantastic cultural blog:

It's all piss in the wind compared with London, though. So beautiful it hurts, and it hurts a fucking lot.

Re: Not Buenos Aires
I've always fancied getting to Buenos Aires. Apparently Montevideo is worth seeing too - right across the river.

Re: Not Buenos Aires
Norwich is a nice place but like a lot of comparatively small places, like York for instance, once you get away from the centre they can be shitholes. If you walked from the railway station to the university (which I'm fairly certain is south to north) you'll have gone through North Elmham estate which is a fucking tip.
If you go back to Norwich again in the future I would suggest you either stick to the town centre ( go out the railway station and straight up Prince of Wales Road- 10 minutes easy walk) or get the bus.
As for pubs it's worth looking at the reviews on the Beer in the Evening website although keep an eye on the dates posted

My nearest pub is called the Fat Cat. I never go in it because I'm a tightwad (and poor) so I drink at home. But there's an offshoot in Norwich. They're both terrifically popular so might be worth a look.
