Life grinds you down.
When I was young I could never understand why old people ie the over forties, your parents etc. were so miserable.
Now I understand why.
Mind you Bob look on the bright side at least you've seen the world. You've seen that there's more to life than the end of your road.

Re: life, when it all boils down to it
Sorry to hear of your friend's death, sev. I was at a funeral of a friend today, cancer death, great guy who loved Scotland as a nation. I'm not religious, but it was a good send off for a man taken with a period of time to prepare for passing on. A sudden, accidental death is much harder to take.
But time marches on, and you cannot remain morose. For a start off, it seems pepe knows you from somewhere (calling you 'Bob' as in FB). But he thinks old folk are 'miserable'.
I'll fucking give him 'miserable'!

You misunderstand me Gladstone.
I don't know what the fuck 'FB' is but niall aka Sevvy was also for a long period using Fingerbob as a user name on the Scotland Footymad board. Which is why the likes of scone and BDC call him that even now.
I'm coming up to 57 but there is no way that I'd consider 'old folk' miserable. Anyway old is somebody older than yourself.

I must have mistyped 'FB' when I meant sev used fingerbob as a user name. Can't think what I meant to type.
