In the Raploch yesterday, and a stone timeline has been set up showing the history of the place.

I'd been looking for a plinth or stand of some sort with a plaque commemorating Billy Bremner: immo mentioned it on here. Anyway, the timeline is set into the path by the river.................

...and just beyond the tree is the section devoted to Billy Bremner.........

I think the most recent commemorative mention was for 2009, so the timeline hasn't been in place for so long. Billy Bremner's is dated 1967, due to the victory at Wembley that year.

Very pleased to have found the memorial, but a bit disappointed at the scale and lack of grandeur: Stirling could do more to commemorate Bremner, while the dog shit and rubbish in the area also saddened me.

It was my birthday yesterday, and I've finally left employment, so it was a landmark day in more ways than one for me. Billy died a couple of days short of my age now, and a 'bloke in the pub' was telling me last night that a BB exhibition is planned for the near future in Stirling. So that would be good. cheers

Now, has anyone got me a new job offer yet? Rolling Eyes
