P-envy
For some time I've read jealously about the fancy phones you gentlemen use these days.
I've had the same Samsung for a long number of years, partly under the pretext that the police can't track me on it.
Recently, I hire-bought a BlackBerry (£10 a month), so here are my questions (I'll take no shit about the choice made):
1) How do I activate GPS on it? I don't really need GPS, as generally I leave a mobile at home when out, but it would be nce to know what to do.
2) I've downloaded a few apps...but now the phone freezes when I click on BlackBerry Ap World: why?
I think these questions are directed towards the younger folk here. Immo?

Where are the techy experts? Now the Sky Sports logo is at the top of the main screen all the time.

Crown Licker will know all about Blackberries, G. He likes all that retro stuff, especially anything that doesn't smack of superior technology and is produced by Apple

But where is he? I got rid of the Sky Sports logo, it was telling me about Leeds' 0-0 draw with Reading. But I can't get BlackBerry App World to open now, the screen freezes up.
I'm no expert, but could that be to do with the weather?

Re: P-envy
Have you tried taking the battery out and resetting, G? (not being funny here btw)
In my pre iPhone days I had a BB and it used to need that to do just about anything. Sometimes it used to suggest syncing with the Blackberry mail service as well?
Who is your network operator and did they give you a specific BB email addy for logging on via PC?

Did the battery thing, but no difference. Virgin Media is the network, and no specific email addy was provided. It's all getting a bit of a frustration, thinking of putting it in a drawer.

Re: P-envy
Google not work in Larbet then, G?
I don't have anything to do with BBs, but you should find your answer here:

As an aside, BBs are brilliant for e-mail, and one of the carriers were offering 6 months free BB internet with a free sim card, think it was T-Mobile, have a little search.

Cheers, Crown: it's virgin media I've got one on, only a tenner a month, but BB App World continues to freeze.
Oh, nice to see you again, I'm away down the Commercial now.
