Post by crownliquor Fri Sep 03, 2010 11:37 pm

Ok, can't be bothered to write a quiz, so here's one question:

1 Who wrote the Kenny Rogers and Dolly Parton - "Islands in the Stream" hit?

The correct poster offers a question of his own, on any subject they wish.

Was it "cocoa-cola" and was changed because the BBC wouldn't play it as it was advertising?

I'm not sure, so won't add a question in case it's wrong. Crown would know, he knows everything. Very Happy

As test was indeed correct with his answer, he's asked me to set the next question.

Bing Crosby, Bill Clinton, Prince William and Jack Nicklaus all suffer(ed) from colour blindness. Bing Crosby doesn't have this affliction any more though.

There are seven buildings known as the Seven Sisters in Moscow, G, big ugly Stalinesque fukkers they are too.

But I've never heard of an English version. Some grim post-industrial dump, no doubt?

Yes G, maybe a bit obscure...Imagine none of use recognising, er, Rochdale Rolling Eyes

Anyway, with garish logos like that those channels could only be from TV stations in Licker's favourite country, Australia. The land of genetic crims and irritating footballers like Scott McDonald, Harry thing and the rest.

More obscurity:

See, there's a theme here......colour blindness. 'Physiologist' was a clue, but I was looking up aspects of colour blindness the other day, for some reason.
